This former Springbok is currently playing for London Irish. Before his recent move to London Irish, 29-year-old Danie was a member of the triumphant Blue Bulls Currie Cup winning team for the past four years. He has been capped 14 times for South Africa and was also a member of the Springbok World Cup squad in 2003. He has made 32 Super 12 appearances for the Bulls, where he had a considerable impact. Danie is a powerful scrummager and has perfected line-out throwing. In the loose game he also adds an extra dimension with his powerful surges and solid defence.
