Rapid Recovery Complex as it’s tasty, does what it says and helps me prepare for hard training sessions.
Average training day
10am – 12pm Boxing (sparring, pads, drills) 1:30pm - 4pm Wrestling 6:30 onwards usually training or teaching
Favourite discipline
Don’t have a favourite as I consider myself an all-rounder
Pre-fight routine
An important part of my preparation is replenishing my energy reserves after making weight. For this I use supplements. Sci-MX supplements are an integral part of my success and I can’t recommend the product range highly enough.
Most memorable moment
Beating Ashleigh Grimshaw at Cage Rage (February 2007) after having a draw in a previous fight. This win gives me a shot at the Cage Rage title.
Aspirations / goals
To get as far as I can in the fight game.
Achievements / titles
Cage Gladiators Featherweight British Champion Grapple and Strike featherweight British Champion
Sporting hero (why)
James Thompson and Zelg Galesic. Both give it their all when they fight and I admire that. But more than anything I respect the fact that they are both down to earth and polite.
Toughest opponent
Ashleigh Grimshaw, he is a determined and skilled opponent. He managed to smother my game and I had to work hard for the victory. It was an honour to fight someone who tested me so well. I think he will go far and as he is a nice guy I wish him all the best.
Brief biography
I have been training martial arts for many years and have always known I would be a fighter. I am fortunate enough to have family members who have fought at a high standard and to have been exposed to high level fighters from a young age. It is these influences that have allowed me to be the relative success I am today. My main influences are Muay Thai and BJJ and I have fought in both disciplines as specific arts.
