Brief biography
I was always in to sport at school – rugby, football, track and field events. I left school and joined a martial arts club, reaching a brown grade in kung-fu. I was a night club doorman for 20 years and wanted to get bigger and stronger so joined the Seven Side gym. I started to train with the power lifting boys and got noticed by the gym owner has having a lot of potential. He asked me on more than one occasion to enter the county championship but I couldn’t compete with guys lifting on gear. I eventually agreed to enter a competition and won! What an achievement - I’ve never look back!
