BOSS Your Breakfast This Week


This week is National Breakfast Week so we decided to get involved and celebrate the importance of breakfast plus raise awareness of all the awesome ingredients that is available thanks to farmers around the UK.

"Shake up your wake up!" See below the top 5 shake ideas from our athletes for you to experiment with this week...

#5... "The classic and simple low carb, high protein breakfast - Have enjoyed this at least once a week for the last 3 years, and it's very useful during comp prep!" Whisk together:

#4... "This high carb shake is a great way to start the day if I’m in a rush and have a full day of heavy training sessions ahead of me!" Chuck in a blender:

#3... Blend together:

  • 3 scoops SCI-MX WHEY PLUS OATS™
  • 1 banana
  • Half an avocado
  • A handful of blueberries
  • A handful of mixed nuts (not peanuts)
  • 1/2 tbsp Manuka honey
  • 1 tbsp of powdered greens
  • 750ml cold water/crushed ice

"And there you have it! A breakfast that keeps you going for hours!"

#2... "I live by this smoothie most days - The vanilla protein is great for hiding the taste of greens so you can load up on spinach, kale or any other green you want (Frozen broccoli also works really well)"

#1... "My weekend treat, perfect served with runny Manuka honey and fresh fruit" Step 1. Mix in a blender:

  • 2 scoops SCI-MX ULTRA WHEY™ (vanilla)
  • 3 egg whites
  • 1-2 tbsp almond butter (15 to 30ml)
  • 1/4 cup unsweetened almond milk (59ml)

Step 2. Cook the mixture in a preheated frying pan with coconut oil on both sides until it’s nice and brown.
