Christmas Cinnamon Star Protein Biscuits

This Christmas we've searched high and low to bring you what we think will satisfy those sweet cravings. Healthy alternatives to save you from smashing out the quality streets with your Nan!

So why not start the festive season by baking up these quick & easy cinnamon protein snacks to enjoy with friends & family over a hot drink beer.

Our top tip: save these biscuits in a sealed tupperware container and store at room tempature to keep them soft.

What you need to buy:PRO V-GAIN™  PROTEIN

  • 250g of freshly ground almonds
    100g of coconut sugar
  • 50g PRO-V GAIN powder
  • 1 tablespoon of ground chia seeds
  • 2 tablespoons of cold water
  • 2 tablespoons of algave nectar
  • 1 tsp of vanilla paste
  • 3 teaspoons of ground cinnamon
  • A sprinkle of icing sugar to decorate

What you need to do:

1.First preheat the oven to 160°C (320°F).

2.Using a blender, mix your whole almonds into a flour.img_20161129_150628

3.Place the ground chia seeds into a small bowl of water, whisk together and place in the fridge for about 10 minutes.

4.Place the coconut sugar, ground almonds, cinnamon, whey & vanilla powder into a bowl and give a quick mix.img_20161129_151002

5.Now add the chia mix and algave nectar to the bowl and stir untill a sticky dough forms.

6.Next roll the dough between two baking paper sheets. Make sure the dough isnt too thin, around 5mm is perfect.

7.Take your star shaped cutters and start moulding.

8.Place the cinnamon stars on a greased baking tray and bake for 8-10 minutes until golden brown. Let the cookies cool for a few minutes until transferring them onto a cooling rack.
