Dark cherry choc protein flapjacks

Luckily for gym trainers – oats are a time-tested physique food that just happen to be the main ingredient for the awesome flapjack. While the 'bad boys' below are high in quality carbs – they're perfect as a post-workout snack, whether it's with your normal PWO shake or as a recovery meal desert. We've added dark choc and cherries for recovery support – get creative and Tweet us your own.....

Ingredients:

120g steel cut oats
100g natural peanut butter
60g vanilla ULTRA WHEY™ PROTEIN or GRS 9-HOUR® PROTEIN
150g skimmed milk (or use nut milk)
15g good quality honey
Few squares melted 90% dark chocolate
Chopped dark cherries

Now make these 'bad boys':

Mix protein powder and oats in a big bowl
Slowly mix-in the peanut butter and milk
Add honey and cherries
Spread the mix on a light greased (butter/coconut oil) baking tray
Chill for 20-30 mins
Pre-heat oven to 190°C
Bake for 10-12 mins

Once cooled, brush on a very thin layer of dark choc.
