High Protein Dark Chocolate Eggs Recipe


This Easter ditch the shop-bought, sugar-loaded, milk chocolate Easter eggs.

Roll up your sleeves and whip up our delicious, protein-packed, dark chocolate eggs instead! We’ve filled our SCI-MX eggs with an incredibly tasty protein filling before covering them in dark chocolate.

  • 45g (2 level scoops) of ULTRA WHEY™ PROTEIN powder
  • 85g of cocoa powder
  • 85g coconut flour
  • 89ml of milk/ soya or coconut milk
  • 50g of 85% dark chocolate (half a bar)


  • Combine the ULTRA WHEY™ PROTEIN powder, coconut flour, cocoa and milk of choice into a bowl, mixing it into a thick paste (it should be doughy in texture)
  • Roll the mixture into eggs. If your mix is too runny or sticky, add a little more coconut flour until you achieve the right consistency. (Tip: too much coconut flour will make the filling too rubbery).
  • From the mixture, shape 6 eggs by rolling them with your hands
  • Melt the dark chocolate in a glass bowl on top of a pan of boiling water
  • Once the chocolate has melted, immerse your eggs into the melted chocolate (this will create a chocolate shell)
  • Place the chocolate-coated eggs on a baking tray lined with baking paper or foil
  • Put them in the freezer for around an hour
