So, can you go meatless and still supplement your diet to build major mass? You’re probably shaking your head, thinking “No whey” (please excuse the pun), but yes way.

Want to build mass without the meat? You’re in luck. We’re proud to announce we're soon to be launching our brand-new, plant based supplements – in the form of our Superfood Protein Smoothies. Both are perfect for gym goers and athletes who follow plant-based diets and come in two mouth-watering flavours, including super berries and peanut butter.

Just because someone eats a vegan or vegetarian diet, doesn’t mean they can’t build as much muscle as someone who eats a meat based diet. Vegetarian supplements comprise all the necessary muscle-building nutritionals and amino acids, and come in a delicious range of flavours, too.

What Ingredients Are Found in Our Vegan Muscle Building Supplements?

Smoothies full of antioxidant-dense ingredients such as Pea Protein, Chicory Root Fibre, Coconut Milk, Maca, Hemp, Raspberry, Strawberry, Lucuma, Cacao, Cherry, Beetroot and Peanuts.

From pea protein to hemp protein, an ever-increasing number of plant-based protein sources are being introduced into the marketplace that offer quality nutrition, taste and sustainability at the same time. Here are some nutritional facts about each ingredient we use in our plant supplements.

Pea Protein

Pea protein is free of dairy. That’s important to both vegans and people with lactose intolerance or sensitivity. Pea protein is a complete protein, which means it contains all nine of the essential amino acids—including branched-chain amino acids (BCAAs)—that you need to consume to effectively build muscle.

Chicory Root Fibre

The root of the chicory plant has long been used as an alternative to coffee. It looks, and to some extent, tastes quite similar to coffee, but it is naturally free from caffeine. The main appeal of chicory root, in addition to its flavour, is that it’s an unbelievable source of dietary fibre. Chicory root is incredibly high in inulin, a vital prebiotic fibre that’s also found in Jerusalem artichoke, bananas and jicama.

Beetrootbeetrot

Beetroot is quickly rising as a stand out superfood, and with good reason. Beetroot is low calorie and yet loaded with numerous nutrients that help the body work proficiently, and can boost athletic performance. Beetroots are excellent sources of potassium, which help control the body’s fluids and stop water retention. Better yet, the dietary fibre found in beetroot helps you feel fuller for longer.

Coconut Milk

On top of providing nutrients and its amazing taste, coconut milk contains beneficial fat called lauric acid, a medium-chain fatty acid that’s absorbed easily and used by the body for energy. Coconut milk is massively rich in vitamins and mcoconutinerals, with impressive levels of some of the key minerals such as, iron, calcium, potassium, magnesium and zinc. It also contains a substantial amount of vitamin C and E.

Super Berries

We’ve packed our two new smoothies with a range of potent super berries, including strawberries, raspberries, blueberries and cherries, all of which are powerful antioxidants. Super berries are amazing sources of folate (the folic acidberries found in food), not to mention vitamin C. Strawberries and blueberries contain anthrocyanin, which is a powerful antioxidant that protects us from the damaging effects of our environment, especially the sun.

Cacao

Raw cacao powder packs in over 300 different chemical compounds and almost four times the antioxidant power of your typical dark chocolate - more than 20 times than that of blueberries. Cacoa is also rich in protein, calcium, carotene, cacaothiamin, riboflavin, magnesium, sulfur, flavonoids, antioxidants, and essential fatty acids.

Lucuma

Lucuma is a yellow-fleshed South American fruit which packs a powerful health punch with its awesome abundance of antioxidants, fibre, carbohydrates, vitamins and minerals. Having, at last, made its way to our shorelines, lucuma islucuma regularly consumed in powder form and can be added to flavoursome (and often sweet-flavoured) dishes and smoothies alike.

Hemp

Hemp seeds boast all the essential amino acids, which makes it a complete source of protein just like meat-based foods, such as chicken, fish or beef. hempAdding three tablespoons of hemp seeds to a salad or smoothie adds 10 grams of high-quality protein.

Maca

Maca contains a whole glut of vitamins, minerals, essential fatty acids, and protein. These nutrients naturally support energy levels and aid in recovery from injury. Even if you’re not an athlete, including maca into your daily diet could be a wonderful way to bring a spring back into your step.
